๐พFur & Focus: The Realities of Working From Home with Furry Co-Workers๐พ
If youโve ever tried working from home and thought,ย โWow, this is peaceful,โ then you clearly donโt have pets.
For those of us juggling spreadsheets, Zoom calls, and very determined paws, the true co-workers of the year are covered in fur and believe the world revolves around their naps (whichโฆ it kinda does).
Letโs take a peek into a typical WFH day with my โteamโ โ Nessie and CJ โ and how these two adorable freeloaders keep my work life paws-itively entertaining.
ย ๐พMeet Nessie: The Clingy Keyboard Critic
Nessie believes in close supervision. Very close. So close that she prefers to sleep directly on my laptop. Productivity? Optional. Cuteness? Mandatory.
She also insists on holding my hand while I type. Thatโs right. I donโt get through a sentence without her gently (and very adorably) asserting, โNo one types alone in this house.โ
It's hard to argue with such persuasive paws.

๐Then Thereโs CJ: The Feline Note-Taker
While Nessie handles the sleeping-on-the-job part of things, CJ takes a more paws-on approach. He's a hands-on (erโฆ paws-on?) assistant who likes to edit my notes usually by swatting the pen or rolling onto the page in protest of whatever task Iโm writing down.
Heโs especially good at deleting emails with one dramatic tail swipe or reminding me that deadlines are flexible when there's a sunbeam to chase.

โ๏ธFinal Thoughts: WFH with Pets = Purrfection (mostly)
Sure, I may be slower at replying to emails, and yes, Iโve absolutely sent messages with cat hair stuck in the keyboard. But honestly? I wouldnโt trade it for anything.
These little moments โ a paw on my hand, a belly-up nap next to my desk, or a full-blown sit-on-the-keyboard strike are what make working from home feel a little more humanโฆ and a lot more fun.
So, hereโs to our furry co-workers: always adorable, occasionally productive, and constantly stealing the show.
