Around our house, there’s never a dull - or should we say dual - moment with our trio of furry mischief-makers: CJ, Kona, and Nessie. Between catio lounging sessions, zoomies down the hallway, and the occasional pawtastic stare-downs over the best nap spot, there’s always something happening in our little fur-filled world.
But recently, we’ve had a new visitor join the fun… and he’s stolen all of our hearts (and maybe a few lettuce leaves).
🥬 A Whiskery Surprise
A few months ago, we noticed a fluffy little rabbit hopping around our backyard. At first, he was shy and cautious, sticking to the edges of the yard like a tiny, twitch-nosed explorer. But over time, he started showing up more and more - until he became part of our evening routine!
Naturally, we had to give him a name… and Nibbles just felt right.
Every night, we leave out a few crisp leaves of romaine lettuce for our friend. It’s become our little ritual - CJ, Kona, and Nessie gather at the window to watch him munch away while we sip our tea (and try to stop the cats from pawing at the glass).
🏠 Home Sweet (Rabbit) Home
Since Nibbles seemed to enjoy his visits so much, we decided to make him feel a little more at home. We set up a cozy rabbit house in the yard—a safe, snug spot where he can rest between meals and stay protected from the weather.
Now, he hops by like he owns the place (and honestly… we don’t mind one bit). Watching him has become one of our favorite parts of the day - it’s a reminder of how peaceful and joyful life with animals can be, no matter their size or species.
