Beware- collar self-tightens

I like these collars except they tighten up on my cats neck. I found it snug on her twice. I ended up sewing the two pieces together and it's working fine.

How many kitties can you see

Love the glow in the dark stripe and the little bell. Its the only way I can tell my 2 dudes apart.

Fine for my needs. Cheap, because they are cheaply made. Don't expect miracles!

First: REMOVE THE BELLS. I took off one star for that. It's one thing to be cheap, it's another to put cute over safe. At the least, very annoying right next to sensitive kitty ears. At worst, a serious danger from a claw getting caught in it, or a tooth, or being swallowed.Second: TEST each one before you put them in to make sure they will pull apart with a minor jerk.Now: Why is anyone complaining? These are dirt cheap! They obviously can't compare to collars up to 10 times the cost!I only needed a few and I wasn't sure how they would be tolerated from cats who'd never worn them before. I only got them because I needed to put "key finders" on them. They sometimes hide to the point I'm looking in the dryer and freezer. I know! Horrifying! But that's how frantic I get after I can't find my indoor cat for hours! So possibly helpful on the very off chance they're hiding, unable to get out and need help ...no, after having many cats over the past 50 years and never having this scenario, I know that is maybe a 1% chance. It's 100% for my peace of mind.The first 2 were torn to shreds by my 9 month old kittens. After getting new collars, the kittens gave up the fight.The young cat completely freaked out. Like LSD psycho off the charts flipped out. I waited for 10 minutes to see if I could calm him down. Nope, it was not meant to be. I would have to be the one to panic when he was missing (curled up sleeping behind the cereal boxes on top of the fridge)2 older cats? Couldn't care less.Bottom line, they aren't meant for forever but have been fine for 6 months now. After the 2 that were destroyed.Oh! The glow in the dark parts? Really bright! Fun surprise to watch zipping around at night!
