Neakasa M1 Smart Self-Cleaning Litter Box – Automatic & App-Controlled

This is, by far, the best automatic letterbox I have owned! I previously had a Meowant SC02 and a Paruunty's automatic litter box, both of which couldn't contain the smell well at all, door would not close the entire way, and support was less than satisfactory.I have had this box for a couple weeks now and it not only contains the smell, but it keeps it so clean that my trouble maker child that had been pooping on the floor has finally stopped as he feels the box is clean enough as there is no smell.The fact I dont have to scoop all week is the best thing ever, and I only have to empty once a week with 3 cats! It was a simple and easy setup and the app keeps track of everything!I have not seen any leakage or litter loss. If you are looking for a quality automatic litter box with app control and weight tracking for multiple cats then look no further!

After trying one other automatic litter box, the Neakasa M1 is by far the favorite of the two. This brand was cheaper than the other brand and it's worth every penny.The open design is a game changer. My cat took to the M1 right away. It's incredibly easy to clean, especially compared to the other automatic litter box I bought. The waste is completely sealed away, so there's no lingering odor. The self-cleaning function is also surprisingly quiet, so it doesn't startle my cat. We have the Neakasa in our bedroom and it's so quiet that it doesn't wake us up when the automatic cleaning starts. Setting it up was a breeze, and the app is very user-friendly. I've seen other reviews where there are complaints of not being able to set up the litterbox because it requires 2.4 GHz. I have Spectrum and was able to temporarily change from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz using the My Spectrum app so I could set up the litterbox. Don't let this be a deterrent for buying this litter box.Additionally, it tracks my cat's usage and lets me know when to change the bag. This has made my life so much easier. I highly recommend the Neakasa M1 to any cat owner looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and effective automatic litter box.

Generally great with a few features which could use improvement.First, the amount of litter our cats fling around, even with the $50 pedestal and honeycomb mat, is enough that I still have to sweep the area twice per day. I'd kill for a built-in splash-shield which automatically emptied to the waste bin beneath, which should be possible with the current design. I know you can pay for some added attachment but after the $50 pedestal did nothing, there's no way. There's also not a ton of space for them to move around in there, relative to the machine's ginormous footprint, so maybe improvement on that front would help?Second, you have to manually reconnect the machine every time your wireless internet hiccups. The machine itself cannot remember the network name and password to keep checking to see when they come back online, you have to take your phone to the machine, select the network on your phone, and punch in your 25-character secure randomized password again every. single. time. IT departments wonder why all of use easy passwords... this machine is why. This also is something they should be able to fix on all extant units with a software patch.Third, I really shouldn't need a connected phone for the litterbox to work. I was initially fooled by the hardware buttons, believing I could get this thing to level, calibrate, etc. without a company tracking all my data. I have yet to get a single button (apart from "power") to work without my phone's involvement.Last, I'm not sure if it can be helped, but it was a BEAST to assemble (because some of the pieces are kinda heavy or unwieldy, not because of complexity) and carry to its place. If it were my 70+ y.o. mom doing this, I'd know I would need to be there for set-up and come by multiple times a month to make sure it was filled and washed for her. So, it's automatic but insufficient for a person who is already physically limited.Other than that, it was easy to assemble out of the box, easy to disassemble for cleaning, and means we have totally clean litter at all times if it's emptied every other day and washed every other week... even with three cats! I am allergic to cats and just about all cat litters, so it was HUGE deal for me to limit my exposure to that room and for everything to be kept sealed away in a trash bag within minutes. I don't have to put my face near it anymore! If you have an older or less healthy cat, I also imagine the app tracking + a health-monitoring litter would be a huge weight lifted, mentally. No smell so far, but we do have a lot of house plants nearby, which helps. If I only needed this to reduce frequency of cleaning or limit odor, I'd go for it.TL;DR - So far, pretty great. Although, if I'd already had a working system I'd probably wait for the M1.1 or 2.0.

We've had this for about 3 months and all I can say alis that I can't believe we have been scooping cat poop and scraping stuck on pee out of litter pans for years! The smell and need to daily clean a cat box have been a frustration for as long as I can remember. Now!! I fill the litter pan, the app sends me a message when I need to clean the tray. Easy bag removel is all it takes. There is a line on the pan that tells you when to add litter. Now after 3 months there is a little smell to the litter so I'm going to empty the whole litter box and wipe it out.I've read where people's cats are digging holes in the rubber portion but my aggressive poop burying cat has not damaged it at all.I can smell the pan a but about a day before it alerts to change the bag.We have 3 cats and have to empty it about once per week.Best 500 we have spent in as long as I can remember.Small bonus, we are also using a quarter of the litter we used when we had a traditional cat box.Enjoy!

Is it expensive? Yes, absolutely. Is it worth the price? 100%I’ve had cats my entire life and scooping their litter box has always been my least favorite part. This eliminates that entirely. Now all I need to do is empty the waste bin once a week.The box cleans itself after every usage, so there isn’t any smell left over. You can also adjust the frequency of how often it cleans itself in the companion app, which is very easy to use.The box itself is great quality and easy to manually clean. It can be taken apart and put back together in just a few minutes.Not to mention there are built in safety features that help prevent your cats from getting stuck or breaking the box while it’s cleaning itself. As soon as it detects your cat touch the box, it stops whatever process it’s in until they leave.Overall, it’s completely worth the money. It might be a steep cost, but you’ll be happier when you can forget about needing to scoop your old litter box.
